"Wow!!!" is all we could say practically the whole time we were in the SoluKhumbu district of Nepal. We took a vacation to the Base Camp of Everest and climbed Kalapattar. UNBELIEBABLE!!!We were greatly blessed with the opportunity to go with our best friends from Seminary...and we had a great time!!! Minus the small frustrations of headaches, belly aches, and a few unspoken teammate problems : ) ...
The highest that we were able to climb was Kalapattar, which is approx. 18,500 feet. From there we could see the peak of Everest better than we could at Base Camp...it was unreal!! The picture below is of us sitting at the top of Kalapattar.
No pictures can show how wonderful God's creation was....but, we'll try the best we can to show you....
This is Shanee, Me and Kristin freezing our tails off!!! It was soo cold the higher we went....but worth it!! We have to admit---since it was soo cold we took on only two showers in the two weeks that we were trekking...yuck!!! We were stinksters!
